Cookies

This site does not use cookies. That is the whole of it — but here is why there is no consent banner, and what would change if that ever stopped being true.

Current status, as of 10 September 2026

airorseatravel.com sets no cookies, first-party or third-party. It also stores nothing in local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, and it loads no scripts, fonts or images from any other domain.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent banners exist because a site is storing something on your device that is not strictly necessary — usually analytics or advertising identifiers. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR, consent is required for exactly that.

This site stores nothing, so there is nothing to consent to. Adding a banner that asks permission to do nothing would be theatre, and it would be one more thing between you and the page you came to read.

You can verify this. Open your browser’s developer tools, go to the storage or application panel, and look at this domain. It will be empty.

What the site does instead

Everything that would normally need a cookie is simply not done:

Common reasons a site sets cookies, and what happens here
Typical purposeOn this site
Analytics and visitor countingNot done. We have no analytics of any kind.
Advertising and retargetingNot done. No advertising on the site.
Affiliate click trackingNot done. Links go straight to the provider with no identifier of ours.
Login sessionsThere is no account system.
Shopping basketNothing is sold here.
Remembering preferencesThere are no settings to remember.
Embedded video, maps or social widgetsNone embedded. These are the usual source of third-party cookies.

The guide search

The search and filters on the travel guides page run entirely in your browser. Your search terms are never sent to our server, never logged and never stored. The page simply hides the cards that do not match. If you search and then share the resulting web address, the search term is in that address — which is the only place it exists.

Cookies set by other websites

When you follow a provider link you leave this site. Booking sites, airlines and operators generally do set cookies, run analytics and show advertising, and their own cookie notice will apply. We have no control over that and no visibility into it.

This is worth knowing rather than worrying about: it is the same for any link you follow anywhere. But it does mean that “this site uses no cookies” stops being true the moment you arrive somewhere else.

If this ever changes

If analytics or affiliate click tracking is added in future — and affiliate programmes sometimes require the latter — then before any of it runs:

  • This page will be rewritten to list every cookie, what it does and how long it lasts.
  • A genuine consent control will appear, with refusing as easy as accepting, and nothing non-essential will load until you choose.
  • Your choice will be changeable from this page at any time.
  • The privacy policy will be updated on the same day.

We have written that commitment down here so it can be held against us.

Controlling cookies generally

Your browser can block or delete cookies for any site, and all major browsers let you refuse third-party cookies entirely. Doing so will not affect anything on this site, because there is nothing here to block.
