Affiliate disclosure

What we earn, from whom, and what it does and does not change about what you read here.

Current status, as of 10 September 2026

No link on this site is currently an affiliate link. Nothing here earns us a commission today. Every outbound button goes to the provider’s ordinary public website.

The plan, stated plainly

AirOrSeaTravel intends to earn money through affiliate commission. The arrangement works like this: a travel company agrees to pay us a share of what it earns when a reader arrives from our site and books something. The reader pays exactly the same price either way — the commission comes out of the provider’s margin, not out of your fare.

That is the whole business model. There is no advertising on this site, no sponsored posts, no paid placement, and nothing is for sale here.

Where we are today

We have applied to no programme as an approved partner yet, and no programme has approved us. Practically, that means every provider button on this site is a plain link to that company’s public website, carrying no tracking of ours and earning us nothing.

We are listing this openly rather than quietly, because a site that claims partnerships it does not have is not worth reading.

Every provider we link to, and its status

What will change when a programme approves us

Three things, all visible:

  • The table above will show that provider as active.
  • Links to that provider will carry rel="sponsored", the standard markup for a paid link, so search engines and browser extensions can see it too.
  • The notice at the top of every page will continue to say that we are funded this way.

What will not change is the content. A guide that says the train beats the plane on a given route will keep saying that whether or not we are paid when someone books a flight.

How we choose which providers to list

We list providers that a reasonable traveller might actually use for that kind of journey: the operators themselves where they sell direct, and the aggregators that genuinely have coverage. Nobody pays to appear here, and nobody can pay to appear here.

Where we think a provider is the wrong choice for a particular trip, we say so in the guide — and we leave the link in place so you can check the claim yourself.

What we are not

AirOrSeaTravel is not a travel agency, a tour operator, a ticketing agent or an authorised reseller for any company. We hold no agency appointment, accreditation or bonding, and we have no commercial partnership with any provider linked from this site. Logos and brand names appear only where needed to identify a company we are sending you to.

Questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you think a link is mislabelled, please tell us. Getting this right matters more to us than any individual commission.
